Biblical Foundations of Government

The Point to be made
fixing problems never equals giving up freedom
We absolutely have to fix all our problems. But when anyone suggests we must give up the slightest bit our freedoms to do that, we should know that those people are used by pure evil. History does tell us that government censorship, in any form, or degree, is evil to be avoided at all costs. History, and current events, tells us that disarming the people, in anyway, and to any degree only end of making the people into slaves.
Never does government or laws give or keep freedom. Only God gives freedom, only we keep freedom by living free. The purpose of our first and second amendments is to help us keep our God given freedom. We must defend our right to freedom of speech, and of writing and publishing our sentiments. To keep freedom the people must have a right to keep and bear arms. Those who ratified our constitution fought to have these restriction so that we could live free.
Fixing our problems never equals giving up freedom. We must never be seduced into giving up the slightest bit of our freedom. The one thing never equals the other. Believing God and education are the two keys, this education can only be achieved by each of us telling our neighbor, friends, family, and or co-works the absolute necessity it is we fight to keep all freedom. Those who try to convince us that giving even the smallest drop of freedom, for whatever good reason, are people being controlled by the most vile and evil, those who would make slaves of us all. Freedom is worth more than any cost, only we the people can keep it.

The Point to be made
only God gives freedom
According to Jesus Christ only God, by Christ, gives freedom,
John 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue [live in] my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free…36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
Does a government or law give us freedom? Not according to Jesus Christ! How then do we keep our God given freedom. Christ says by living it. What then is the purpose of our first amendments? Do they give us freedom? If they do then God is wrong. Do they defend our freedom? If they do then we are governments servants, and they our masters and benefactor. Or could it be that amendments help us keep our God given freedom, if so, how? According to those who wrote those amendments, and also demanded there addition to the constitution, it’s by restricting the government.
Preamble to the Bill of rights…in order to prevent misconstruction or abuse of its [the Federal government] powers, that further declaratory and restrictive clauses should be added….
We all do not agree on everything, and some people try to take from others their life, liberty, and or property. Free men can not live together with thieves or murders. So we need some government. If Christ is right, to be free we need to live his words. Then logically, if we are going to be free, our government, which we need, can not be allowed to impede, restrict or prevent us from living the Word of God. How do we make such a government?

Believing is the greatest law in the universe. It is the believing of the people of a nation that determines the greatness or poorness of a nation. And the government and the governors of that nation will come from their believing and not the other way around. It is the people you got that determines the government you get.
Leaders are important but they can do nothing without the believing of the people. And unless the people of a nation have God by Christ as their ruler and their sufficiency, no matter their apparent success, their end will be destruction. In the book of Jonah we see the positive effect on a nation of the believing of the people. Jonah had witness to the people of Nineveh and told them of their sin and the consequences that would come upon them. The people as a whole believed Jonah and repented.
Jonah 3:4 And Jonah began to enter into the city a day’s journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown. 5 So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.
Jonah spoke for God, then first the people of Nineveh believed together and then the king followed; their believing saved their nation. Today we can tell people of the great goodness, love, power and deliverance God has wrought in Christ.
Romans 2:4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
As the people of the nation know and live God’s goodness in Christ then that nation will be blessed.
Psalm 33:12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; ….

We enjoy, get along and work with, even function as a team together with people. But in truth, the only one who will never fail us is God.
Jeremiah 17:5 Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. 6 For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.
7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. 8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
Many things in the five senses world will try to seem as if they are what makes you and your family prosperous and safe. They would take God’s place if they could. But that is all lies and falsehood.
Psalm 33:16 There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength. 17 An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength. 18 Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy; 19 To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
God is the one we can trust and it is His Word we go to to know all we should do and say. As we do this our family will prosper and be safe.

In reality a nation will prosper and be safe as it’s people have God as their Lord. This is why it is so important we know and do God’s Word; His Will.
Psalm 127:1 A Song of degrees for Solomon. Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. – KJV
I am very thankful for all that is done that is good. I am very thankful for all the hard work and great effort of so many to help. Yet all the great things we build and we do without God’s blessing have no real, long term, profit.
Psalm 33:12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; …
What does it then take to have the Lord build the house and keep the city? What does it mean to have “God as the Lord”? To have and do these things the people of a nation must know and obey God’s will. To know and obey God’s will we must first know Jesus Christ, as our risen savior and lord. We know him by by knowing the rightly divided Word of God; the Bible.
As we go to God’s Word and receive it with meekness, and as we each as individuals and then together learn and then live that Word, in all our labors and our watching, then the Lord will build the house and the Lord will keep the city. Both our labor and or our watching will be successful, and have both immediate and long term profit. We, our families, our community, State and Nation will be blessed, safe and prosper.
We are going to present factual and true information on the responsibility of believers concerning government and the original intent of those who ratified our constitution. This is a primer on politics, God’s word on government and a believers understanding of the Bull.
